How to connect with your neighbours?

Mutual Support in Winnals Park - you belong and you are welcome.

Unlike Tenants and/or Residents Associations, which are legal entities governed by UK law, the community associations are often informal and ad-hoc.

The words used are confusing: If you are renting from social Landlord like Council or Housing Association, then you can form Tenant Association to better present and enforce your collective needs and rights.

If you are owner of a leasehold, you can form Resident Association to ensure that the Freeholder (who is leaseholders Landlord) does not run roughshod over your rights under the lease, and does not overcharge you in service and maintenance charges.

If you are a private tenant renting from Leaseholder, then he is your Landlord, and although you reside in a property you cannot be part of Residents or Tenant Association.

Confusing, Ha?

But, if you are an occupant (you actually live here) you already are a member of our Community, no dues or fees required!!

There are WhatsUpp Groups for Occupants of:

  • Winnals Park &

  • Kipling Court

In April 2020 we created two WhatsUp groups to help us endure lockdown and stress of the pandemic.

If you have a smartphone, you can go to GooglePlay (on Android phone) or to AppStore (in iPhone) and download WhatsUP application (see icon above). That is all you need!

To connect with either or both groups, please text Eva on 07540238513

If you are finding the whole technology thingy a challenge, call or text me (Eva) on 07540238513 and I will talk you through it.

Book Exchange is now closed.

Book Exchange - open to all Winnals Park residents

Take any book that tickle your fancy, and it is yours to keep. Donate any book that you own and enjoyed reading and let others enjoy it too. Any book that has not been picked up after a few weeks is taken to local charity store to search for a wider circle of readers. This book exchange is a daily reminder that we are a linked to each other by community bond, and isolation that we are currently enduring is forced on us from outside and it will pass.
